News: Jersey Civil Unions Not Enough
This article in the Washington Post provides a good luck at why gay men and lesbians need to push for full marriage equality:
Civil unions just aren't enough.

But more than four months after New Jersey's civil union law went into effect, Ross, 46 and Cash, 54, are among the many same-sex couples severely disillusioned with their prospects for legal equality. Citing federal regulations that allow many employers to effectively ignore state laws regarding corporate benefits, the Fortune 500 company where Ross has worked as a computer specialist for 21 years denied the couple's request for joint coverage.
The reason that gay men and lesbians in New Jersey wanted civil unions was so that they would be entitled to equal benefits under the law. Those benefits are not always being made available. Now, sadly, it's back to the drawing board.

Sneak Peek: Naked Sandbach Rugby
Well, well, well ...
A very interesting short documentary featuring the naked antics of a certain U.K. rugby team appeared on YouTube recently. In the documentary, you see members of the team horsing around nude in the locker room, showering together and even stripping down on the dance floor of local pubs.
Yow.
The video was pulled from YouTube after a short run, but not before we managed to save a copy, which we will have for you exclusively here in a few short days. (But not before a couple more tantalizing sneak peeks like this.)

Culture: Bea Arthur with Archie Bunker
A golden oldie:
Bea Arthur guest-starred on this episode of All in the Family, playing the role of Edith Bunker's cousin, Maude Findlay. Her performance caught the eye of network producers and she soon had a spin-off show of her own, playing the self-righteous liberal counter-balance to Archie Bunker's reactionary conservatism.
Maude was a great show.
