Joe. My. God.: Trouble in Bearland

It looks like there is a little trouble in big Bearland ...

Joe reports on allegations that hairy meet-up site Bear411 discriminates against non-bears (especially Asians) who try to get listed on its popular profile service.

We understand the desire to exclude the young, the skinny and the smooth from a site that is designed to cater to the bear community.

At the same time, it just seems to be a bad idea. The things you get by keeping folks out are never as great as what you get from bringing them in. Bear411 might sniff and turn up its nose at non-bears, but if it continues with this attitude, the whole site will eventually start to stink.

Joe, whom we see occasionally prowling the New York City bars with his own elite crew of hirsute hunks, and his readers seem of mixed opinions about the controversy. What do you think?
