Joe. My. God.: AIDS Memorial Quilt

New York City blogger Joe. My. God. has written an interesting post about the AIDS Memorial Quilt, the massive memorial quilting project that now comprises over 40,000 panels, each square remembering a loved one who died of AIDS.

One thing that we will never understand is the cavalier attitude that a lot of gay men have these days about HIV and about AIDS, especially when it comes to safer sex practices. And the porn world is not better -- and in fact, can be much worse -- when it comes to eroticizing "barebacking" and other activities that put gay men at a higher risk for acquiring HIV.
